“Initially chose to pursue personal training as a method to safely build strength in the right areas following back injuries and associated chronic pain.  Not only was active life beginning to suffer (sports – golf in particular, exercise routine, etc), but I was uncomfortable at work sitting for a long duration and dealing with a busy travel schedule, often on airplanes.

“I chose to do personal training because while I had always exercised and led an active lifestyle,  I was largely uneducated in the broader aspects of weightlifting. As I continue to age and deal with the stress of an office/desk job, I wanted to ensure that I was planning for longevity and making sure that I was taking care of my physical health in a more holistic way.  As a female, one of my biggest concerns was bone density and mobility, particularly given the fact that I have a demanding job that requires long hours, travel, and extended periods of time sitting at a computer. To keep me honest and on a regular track with respect to weight lifting, personal training was the solution I needed. Regular exercise, coupled with a dynamic weightlifting program, has totally changed my body.  I feel stronger all around and it has only bolstered my commitment to long term health. While I had positive nutrition and regular exercise habits, working with Kent has done nothing but help me and make me stronger.

Kent understands that my career and schedule are demanding.  The reality is exercise is a priority, but often falls down the list when competing with work deadlines and other related obligations.  In those situations, it is easy to get off track and engage in self-loathing for not getting to the gym. Kent offsets that by finding the positives in what you can do to “maintain homeostasis”, realizing that if you have a balanced diet, take time to allow for sleep and regeneration, you will eventually get back on track and nothing is really lost.  In essence, balance is the key and you have to take it one day at a time.”

“I choose personal training to reduce muscle imbalances and improve flexibility to prevent injury.  I’m an active triathlete that had two ankle surgeries and was facing the prospect of a third surgery and felt that there had to be an alternative to a constantly inflamed ankle.  Kent developed a plan to improve my flexibility, strengthen my core, and improve my muscle balance. In the three years I have been working with Kent my ankle issues have largely dissipated and I’ve been able to run pain free.

Kent develops a personalized plan that fits your requirements.  Rather provide a generic workout plan, Kent listens to the clients needs provides bespoke exercises that help your reach your goals in an efficient manner.  Highly recommended.”

”Prior to working with Kent, I had been doing Crossfit. While I enjoyed the athletic movements and intensity, I ended up injuring my knee. Kent put together a program that mixed improving mobility and strengthening areas of weakness with the high energy, athletic movements that I enjoy. Over time, we set and met body composition goals and increased max strength across a range of lifts.

Kent was very tuned into days when I was stressed or had a lot of my plate and we would re-orient the workout to what I could deliver that day. This led to a lot of discussion around wellness techniques such as meditation that has been a great addition to my daily routine.

I appreciate the level of professionalism Kent brings to the job. He is constantly learning and adding certifications which reinforce his understanding of the science behind his programming. Kent truly wants the best for his clients and has a holistic view of the role that fitness and wellness can play in their lives.

Working with Kent will make you more fit, stronger, healthier and more mobile. If you keep at it, the positive effects will spill over into the rest of your life as well. ”

Since working out with Kent, I’ve built a significant amount of strength in the right areas, and have seen flare ups related to herniated discs/spinal stenosis occur with much less frequency.  I am able to golf without pain, comfortably get through the work day, and enjoy most of the things I used to do prior to my injuries. Kent also incorporates a level of accountability that I continue my program on days we’re not training through activity and healthy living habits.” “Kent’s knowledge, expertise and passion for fitness has helped me tremendously in achieving my personal goals. First, I needed to gain weight and mass. I was sick of being skinny! After a few months of training and advice from Kent I was already starting to see awesome results. Kent gave me a road map, and what I loved about it was that it was something I could actually follow. Once I found a rhythm in my diet and fitness training, I stuck with it for about a year on my own. The awesome thing about Kent is that he programs you to be able to do it on you own, and then he’s right back there when your ready to take the next step. Well… after some time lifting and eating heavy I sure did get the size I was looking for. Now it was time to tone… Kent was right back there for me with a full new program, and this time my goal was the “shredded look”. After 3-4 months of working with Kent on the second phase of my transformation, I really had achieved the look I was going for. This changed my life! I now have the confidence, energy and health habits that I never thought possible. Although I am not one of his celebrity clients, he truly made me feel like one. My new look is incredible! Thank you Kent!”
